It is time to empty fishing nets and try ice fishing on a frozen lake. During this adventure you will be introduced to traditional ways of fishing in the north and a popular activity that hundreds of thousands of Finns do in winter. You will be part of the arctic journey, where we fish on a frozen lake, check fishing traps and enjoy a lunch buffet on a restaurant Mokkatupa..

EXPERIENCE INCLUDES:

We move on the frozen lake by snowmobile and a sled

We go through and empty fishing traps under the ice (fishing nets, fyke nets, fish traps)

You can easily reach Pyhätunturi by various means of transport. The nearest airports are in Rovaniemi, Kittilä, and Kuusamo, and there is a regular SkiBus connection from Rovaniemi Airport directly to Pyhä. For train travelers, the night train from Helsinki conveniently brings you to Kemijärvi, which is only a 45-minute drive from Pyhä. We also offer private transfers with our 1+6 passenger minibus both within the area and from airports and train stations. Arriving by car is straightforward via highways E75 and E63.
